Teal Mondays was started by Kyle Ryan in April of 2016.  His idea came about after graduating college and wanting to continue the volunteer work he did working with different sexual assault awareness and prevention groups.

The idea is to wear the color teal in some way, shape, or form every Monday to raise awareness for the cause and simultaneously let survivors know that you are an ally who stands with them.

What began as a simple Instagram hashtag has grown into a movement with supporters all across the country.
